This Daughter Received Flowers And A Note From Her Dad On Every Birthday After His Death. This Is So Beautiful.

While I am aware that moms get all the credit for being the epitome of love when it comes to caring for a child, I always felt that there’s nothing like a dad’s love. From his care to his concern, his proactiveness to his protectiveness, a father’s love knows no bounds and is truly unconditional. They say that the relationship between a dad and his daughter, especially, is so surreal and eternal that it even death cannot diminish the bond they share. Here’s a dad that proves this saying true. Mike Sellers is a loving father who continued to put a smile on his daughter’s face, even after his death. Here’s how.

Bailey Sellers, Mike Sellers youngest daughter, posted a photo of some flowers and a letter she received two days before her 21st birthday from her dad. It had been five years since her dad had died of cancer and this was the last birthday gift she would get from him. Mike arranged for flowers and a note to reach his girl on her birthday every year and the last one came with a “love letter.”

She posted the photo with the caption, “My dad passed away when I was 16 from cancer and before he died, he pre payed flowers so I could receive them every year on my birthday. Well this is my 21st birthday flowers and the last. Miss you so much daddy.” It left netizens in tears who admired the dad’s loving gesture.

In the letter, the dad says he will be with her through every milestone and is in a better place. He also tells her to take care of her mother and be true to herself. Particularly making the lot of us bawl like a baby. How hard it is to lose someone you love so dearly. The mere thought makes me shiver.

Bailey was in high school when she found out her dad was suffering from pancreatic cancer. She decided to be home-schooled so she could spend more time with him. This was the time the bond between them grew stronger and but unfortunately within six months of the diagnosis, Mike passed away when Bailey was only 16 years old. She received her first birthday gift from her deceased father on her 17th birthday and had been getting them every year for five years now. The flowers on her 21st birthday was extra special since it was the last one she would ever get from him.

Twitter users were teary eyed when they saw the emotional post. They were surprised to see the loving gesture and couldn’t help but tell her what an amazing dad she had. One twitter user wrote, “I literally cried. I’m so sorry for your loss as I know how losing a father feels. This is so so special. I hope you had a happy birthday and know your daddy is looking over you girl.” Another wrote, “Happy birthday from Belgium bailey…I’m sorry for your loss! Your father is always by your side and in your heart…remind the good times! We are thinking of you and your family! Make something beautiful of your life girl!”

Bailey’s mom told in an interview that she knew about the plan and her husband wanted to give something special to each kid on their birthday after he was gone. “We were sitting on the couch — and it was about a month before he passed away — and he said he had already done it. That this was what his plans were,” she said. The kids also received an embroidered handkerchief that Mike had prayed over just before his death.

This was truly an extraordinary gift that a father could give to her daughter. He made sure that she got a special surprise with a sweet note on every birthday for five years and took care of her from beyond the grave. How heartening is that!

BRB, I’ve got something in my eye.
