A Grieving Mother Gifts An Unknown Boy A Teddy Bear In Memory Of Her Late Son
Holidays can be the most emotionally challenging or emotionally enriching times of the year, depending on whether or not you’re getting to spend it with your family, friends or loved ones. A time of the year that can instantly lift or drop your spirits, it’s when we’d want to be surrounded with people closest to our hearts, making merry with them. But for those one of us, who have lost a loved one this year, it can be a rather tough time, as it was for a lady (a mother) who couldn’t help herself and gifted a boy she did not know a toy for Christmas, for he reminded her of someone.

Possibly the most heart breaking pieces of news to come across today, this story is about a grieving woman, who found an unexpected outlet for her emotions during Christmas time in United Kingdom. The incident took place when a mother witnessed a woman they didn’t know gift her son, who is only 5 years old, a gift out of the blue. Obviously, the mother was curious.
Turns out, the woman had lost her son, about the same age as the boy about a few years ago, and so when she saw Chelsea Robinson shopping in the streets of Manchester on a Sunday afternoon, along with her son Kian Hempenstall, she couldn’t help but approach the duo with two gift boxes.

The lady had found out that Kian liked teddy bears and she gave him a box of Build A Bear, sharing how every year since her boy passed away, she goes out and buys two presents, one for a random child and one for herself that she keeps in her son’s memory. She also went on to share how she travels to Manchester every year, for that is where she lost her son. And honestly, if this doesn’t bring tears your eyes, we don’t know what will.
And call it fate, but turns out the mystery woman Chelsea met wasn’t the only one dealing with loss, for Kian too had lost his father to a terrible motorcycle accident, and was mourning his father. Sharing the incident on Facebook with a picture and a wonderful caption, Chelsea wrote, “I’ve never felt so much kindness as we just received five minutes ago. To this wonderful lady, thank you.”
She added, “She explained that her baby would have been eight years old and every year she buys two bears and travels 70 miles to Manchester to gift one to a child of similar age that would have been her sweet baby, the other is kept by herself and the family.”
She ended the post by writing, “After all we’ve been through this year, especially for my precious little Kian losing his dad, I felt we had such a connection, even in that brief moment. I believe that angels come around in a time of need, and this certainly was that.” We don’t doubt that!
