Boi’s Budget Buys: The Sporty Chic Edit
One universal fashion problem for most girls is, “What do I wear today?” This question has the power to reduce us to a hysterical mess. Fashionista or not, nobody wants sartorial answers that cost a fortune. And let’s just be honest, you’re THE style star if you know how to dress to the nines on a budget. So I’ve taken up this Herculean task: every Saturday, I’ll round up a budget-friendly ensemble for you, all BELOW Rs 10,000. Yes! It’s going to be an entire outfit — from head-to-toe — without breaking the bank. Quite a challenge, right? Scroll down to shop this budget ensemble, and don’t forget to come back every Saturday to discover an outfit that’s yet another steal!
A couple of weeks ago, my flatmate and I decided to wake up at 7:30am to do some stretching and basic yoga. This was after I hadn’t done ANY form of physical activity for about 8 months. For the next 3 days, she and I were in pain (mind you, all we did were basic stretches and really simple yoga).
This promptly put a stop to our morning routine. Ever since, we have discussed waking up and doing it again, countless times, promising ourselves that we will roll out of bed on the elusive Monday morning, but as you’ve probably guessed by now, that Monday has never come.
This weekend, 2 of my girls, our Fashion & Beauty writer Tatiana, and our Lifestyle writer Japleen, have headed off to Alibagh for a fitness-full weekend getaway with Adidas. Clearly, they are delirious with exhaustion already — you’ll know if you saw the videos they sent us.
All of this put together has inspired me to try ONE MORE TIME to wake up on Monday morning and exercise or go for a run. And the most important part of any new journey you embark upon is, of course, the outfit.
Which brings me to this week’s look. As we already shared with you earlier, Masaba launched a kickass and super affordable athleisure collection in association with Koovs, one that is ironic, to say the least. I mean, workout gear with ice cream, chocolate, and gum printed on ’em? Uh-huh uh-huh!
I’m keeping this look’s vibe a mix of spunky, grungy, and sexy. The Zara top paired with these adorbs shorts gives off quite the haute, badass chica feel, don’t you think?
The graphic printed jacket from Forever 21, and the Propshop24 round reflector aviators bring together said badass vibes quite seamlessly, I’d say. Add the comfy, neutral pair of (our fave) white Mango sneakers, adn we’d got ourselves a winner.
I’m hoping that buying and wearing the clothes will motivate me enough to get my butt out of bed on Monday morning. If y’all have any tips to help get me fit, PLEASE HELP! Comment below, email me on firstname.lastname@example.org, or tweet at me @Chat_Boi to help an unfit sister out!
