21-Year-Old Woman Wins First Ever International Skiing Medal For India

A 21-year-old from the hills of Himachal has created history and made India proud. Aanchal Thakur made Indian history on Turkish soil by being the first Indian ever, to win a medal at an international skiing event.

International Ski Federation (FIS) organised the Alpine Ejder 3200 Cup in Turkey, where this young athlete won a bronze medal in the ‘slalom race category’.

Aanchal was trending on Twitter on Wednesday and was congratulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar, and Suresh Raina on the social media website.
