Kirti Kulhari Announces Separation In An Instagram Post. Celebs Are Now Using Social Media For Life Updates
Kirti Kulhari has time and again showed us her caliber as an actor. Her performances in Pink and Four More Shots Please have been stellar and now we’ve been super excited with the fact that the latter started shoot for season 3. A quick scroll through her Instagram profile will give you a glimpse of her work including stunning fashion shoots, movie posters and BTS shots. However, once in a while, she makes sure her feed isn’t devoid of her personal life. This time, she announced that she and her husband Saahil Sehgal have decided to go separate ways.
Writing and posting a note on her feed, Kirti Kulhari let her Insta fam know of the separation. She wrote, “A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil and I have decided to separate. Not on papers, but in life. A decision that’s probably harder than the decision of ‘being with somebody’, because coming together is celebrated by everyone you love and care about.” She further added, “And the decision of ‘not being with somebody’ brings along pain and hurt to the same people. It’s not easy. Guess it is not meant to be easy but IT IS WHAT IT IS.” Kirti Kulhari concluded by writing, “To all those who really care, I am in a good place and hope everyone who matters in my life is too. Will not be commenting further on this. Upward and Onward… Always.”
She received a lot of well-wishes and love from her friends and followers in the comments. “You know we are in your corner na,” her Four More Shots Please co-star Sayani Gupta wrote. “Big hug to u my gal,” actress Divya Dutta commented. “So brave of you to be so honest and vulnerable on a public platform,” her FMSP co-star Amrita Puri wrote. She also added how strong Kirti Kulhari has always been! Celebrity stylist Aastha Sharma and veteran film critic Rajeev Masand extended their support to her too. However, several people on the comments have been dismissing this post as an April Fools’ prank.

Kirti Kulhari has been rather private about her personal life and now that she has made an official announcement about her separation, we should give her the support and space she deserves. “In an earlier interview with ETimes, she had said, “Even the media didn’t know for a while that I was married. And that’s primarily because I wasn’t big enough (star) for people to be interested in knowing whether I’m married or not. I got very well known post ‘Pink’ and I got married 3-4 months before ‘Pink’ released. And also, I’m somebody who would not reveal too much about my personal life.”

In the past, quite a few celebrities have decided to make a public announcement about their separation or divorce. When Dia Mirza separated from her then husband Sahil Sangha, they released a joint announcement. The post read, “After 11 years of sharing our lives and being together, we have mutually decided to separate. We remain friends and will continue to be there for each other with love and respect. While our journeys may lead us down different paths, we are forever grateful for the bond that we share with each other. We thank our family and our friends for all their love and understanding and members of the media for their continued support and request everyone to respect our need for privacy at this time. We will not be commenting any further on this matter. Thank you, Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha.”
Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia too had made a formal announcement regarding their separation. “After a 20-year-long beautiful journey filled with love and beautiful memories, we would like to share, that all journeys have different paths. We feel that it is time for us to move on to different destinations henceforth,” they wrote in their joint note.

These couples decided to announce their separation themselves instead of having people gossip about it and make up half-cooked stories. Also, since they are much loved by the masses, the way they included their fans and followers is so wholesome. If anything, we owe it to Kirti Kulhari and other celebs going through a separation to respect their space and refrain from making baseless speculations regarding the same.
