You can’t deny this one, can you? Your 20s are kind of like a train wreck, emotionally speaking. In your 30s, you’re done with all the drama, you are a little more sorted and you are definitely less volatile.

You know yourself better

It’s crucial to know yourself well before you commit to another person. Otherwise, you enter a serious, lifelong relationship as vulnerable and impressionable. When you know who you are, you’ve a better idea of what you bring to the table.

You’ve figured out what you want to do professionally

Which essentially means you don’t have to be financially dependent on your new fam. Or your spouse.

You have a better sense of what you want in a partner

Hopefully, by the time you reach your 30s, you’ve had a few failed relationships because of which you’ve learnt what you want and don’t want in a relationship.

You can do without getting married

This may sound counter-intuitive, but it’s so important that marriage is not entered into because it is something you need – whether that’s financially, emotionally, or physically. You should get married only and only because you want to!
