The Kate Spade Launch Brought On The Moroccan Girl In Style

If you haven’t heard it already, luxe label Kate Spade New York has finally come to India! The iconic American label, which is known for its handbags, announced the opening of its 2 stores in the country — DLF Emporio and Select City Walk Mall in New Delhi.

Coming together with Reliance Brands, the launch unveiled the label’s Spring 2017 collection — the Moroccan journey of the Kate Spade girl. The collection takes inspiration from silhouettes of the desert, candle-lit lanterns, and the souks and oasis in the Majorelle Gardens.

With detailed, textured fabrics, the collection has intricate work of pompoms, appliqués, and ruffles, sitting against the backdrop of femininity.

Featuring the key element of this collection was a unique installation of a life-size marigold camel, along with the bespoke display of Kate Spade New York’s iconic handbag designs — such as Isobel, Candace and Blanca.

While sipping on their flutes of marigold champagne and dancing to the tunes of DJ Electorvertz, here is who we spotted at the Kate Spade launch in India.
