Do You Know How Vin Diesel Was Welcomed To India?
Sticking to our mehmaan baghwaan traditions, Mumbai welcomed Hollywood star Vin Diesel with what can only be described as a full-throttle desi Maharastrian reception. Accompanied by his co-star and our very own Deepika Padukone, and director DJ Caruso, the two were in town for the promotion of their new film xXx: Return Of The Xander Cage, and let me just say that the celebration was nothing less than that of a Bollywood film — there was burst of colour, music, and desi swag. With saree-drapped women rolling in on big-ass motorbikes to the beats of dholaks, yellow paghadis, and red tilaks, I don’t think we’d be able to welcome this actor in a better manner. When we do it, we do it in style, and we go all out!
Being Deepika’s debut in Hollywood as well, the movie releases on Friday which in fact is launching in India before the rest of the world. We are looking forward to seeing one more Bollywood star going international!
