You Can Now Post GIFs In The Facebook Comments Section!

In the last few years, our lives have been dominated by 2 huge phenomena — memes and GIFs. No matter how hard we try to ignore them, it is one happy addiction that refuses to leave.

And guess what, the Graphics Interchange Format has turned 30 today! Yes, that’s the full form of our beloved GIF — who knew?! To mark the big 3-0, Facebook decided to do something memorable. It has introduced the long-awaited GIF button in the comments section, to make our replies on posts and statuses even more creative.

Till now, you could copy-paste the URL of the GIF from elsewhere and use it in the comments, but now, you have an array of curated ones to choose from. This, however, means that you are limited to use only the ones available on Facebook and cannot upload those from other websites.

With the huge usage of GIFs on Facebook Messenger, the developers finally added the icon in the comments section, and what a perfect day to do that, too!

So go ahead and share your favourite GIFs with us in the comments below, and we promise to reply with our haute ones too!
