Masaba Gupta Has Turned Author!

Donning many hats is a herculean task, but designer Masaba Gupta is all set to turn that statement on its head. The 26-year-old House Of Masaba queen bee, who has rightly been dubbed India’s Princess of Prints, is not willing to rest on past laurels is getting ready to release her very first book!

Published by Rupa & Co., the book is titled The Masaba Print and is a documentation of her early years and how they’ve shaped her both personally and professionally. In a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, Masaba said about the book, “The title refers more to my DNA and the visual impression I leave behind because of it, than my designs. It’s a well-rounded narrative of my growing-up years and fashion and should appeal to young girls. ”

There’s no doubt that the enterprising young designer is a role model for many, so helping the younger generation keep it real seems like something right up her alley, no? We can’t wait to read it!

The Masaba Print will hit bookstores in January 2016.
