Yami Gautam Said She Finds Bald Men Attractive And Would Definitely Date One. Men, Please Note

It’s funny how suddenly Bollywood is talking about men and receding (or gone) hairlines on men. It’s interesting to note. In Housefull 4, Akshay Kumar plays the role of Bala who is bald and has been made fun of for his disappearing locks. Whenever someone said “takliya” as in goodbye, Bala got majorly offended! Then we have Bala and Ujda Chaman, both the movies dealing with the stigmas around male baldness and how that is seen as a major setback. That’s kinda unfair, right? We talk about how women have to deal with so many stereotypical notions of beauty such as fair skin and an hourglass figure. But when it comes to men, women dismiss bald men as undateable. Thankfully, Yami Gautam who plays Ayushmann Khurrana’s love interest in Bala has spoken up against this.

Although in the movie, her character is shattered when she finds his hairline is far from on point, in real life, that’s not who Yami is. On being asked if she would be okay with having a bald guy as a partner, quick came her response, “Why not?” She further added, “I feel bald men are really cool. They look really cool. The idea of the film is to tell people that they should love themselves first, and only then can you expect others to love you.”

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bala revolves around a man who is suffering from premature baldness and is left feeling under-confident because of our society’s stigma around hair loss. “Amar (Kaushik) told me that I had to react like Pari (her character in the film), and not like Yami,” the actress revealed.

I mean seriously, your hair doesn’t dictate if you’re a good partner or attractive. If bald men are not attractive then Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson must be fictional because if you ask me, these men are hot AF. It’s time we cut the men some slack too!
