Video Of Delhi Doctor Scolded By Wife For Taking COVID 19 Vaccine Without Her Will Leave You In Splits

We’ve all had those long conversations about when the vaccine against the coronavirus would arrive and which country would get there the fastest. Now that it’s finally here, none of us can wait to get out of this nightmare. In the first phase of India’s vaccination drive, nearly 30 million doctors, healthcare and frontline workers are expected to be immunised. Amongst those is Dr KK Aggarwal, who got an earful from his wife for getting vaccinated without her. Do you know how some couples love to do everything together? Yep, turns out, getting vaccinated against a deadly virus is one of those things. Their very public spat left us all in splits.

While Dr KK Aggarwal was doing a live-session just after he’d gotten vaccinated, he was on a call with his wife, Veena Aggarwal. She can be heard yelling at him for going to get immunized without her. This clip from his live session has achieved virality and is doing the rounds on social media.

Dr KK Aggrawal is a well-known senior cardiologist who has been awarded the Padma Shri. However, I think that just made this entire incident even funnier. In the clip, while he was talking to his very irked wife she can be heard getting extremely agitated because he got vaccinated without taking her along. She can be heard sternly saying, “Why didn’t you take me with you? This is not done… Don’t lie to me.”

The doctor was trying his best to explain to her that she would be getting vaccinated on Monday and that he had just gone to find out when they said he could get it done right away. He said, “Main pata karne gaya tha aap logon ka, vo keh rahe the ‘khaali hai, lagwa lo’, toh maine lagwa li (I just went to check. They said you can get it done. So I got it).” Yikes, no wonder he got into as much trouble as he did. And to add to all that drama, he had to face his wife’s wrath over a phone call while he was on a social media live session. It’s hilarious for everyone that isn’t the poor doctor or his wife.

After the clip went viral, Dr KK Aggarwal issued a statement on Facebook saying, “I am aware of a video of myself that is doing rounds and I am glad I provide people with a moment of levity in these tough times, after all, laughter is the best medicine. While you have enjoyed a laugh at my expense, at something which was nothing but my wife’s concern towards my health and safety.”

He also urged everyone to go and get themselves vaccinated when they get the chance. The doctor further wrote in the statement, “I am happy to learn that this episode educated millions in the importance of the vaccine, something that has been my mission as a doctor. I truly believe and I am sure all of you will agree that not taking the vaccine is a bigger laughing matter.”

We are glad that instead of trying to cover the spat up, Dr KK Aggarwal is embracing it and using it to send out an essential message. I think a lot of people who run and hide after going viral for hilarious/ embarrassing reasons could take notes from him. That being said, we are so glad we got to listen in on this couple’s spat. It was extremely entertaining and it left us chuckling.
