Hey Veena Malik, Your Fake Concern About Sania Mirza’s Child Is Idiotic. We Love Sania’s Response

There must be some sadistic pleasure that people get in putting their noses other peoples’ business.  For they do it all so often and quite unnecessarily. As it happened recently for when Veena Malik, the Pakistani TV actress and host, thought it was her duty to comment on Sania Mirza’s son’s well-being. Does Veena Malik have anything to do with her child? Is she the godmother? Is Veena responsible for the health of children everywhere? Nope. Yet, she thought it was important to voice her concern.

Soon after the much anticipated India-Pakistan  Cricket World Cup match took place on 16th June, and Pakistan lost to team India (no surprises there), a certain video went viral on the internet where the Pakistan cricket team could be seen chilling and having a good time at a sheesha bar. Now speculations were rife that this was taken on 15th night, right before their big match with the Indian team, however, Pakistan Cricket Board has said that this was taken on the 13th instead.

But Veena Malik, failing to acknowledge that tiny but important detail, took to Twitter to take a dig at Sania Mirza in the most bizarre way-  by questioning her care for her son – Izhan. She tweeted, “Sania, I am actually so worried for the kid. You guys took him to a sheesha place isn’t it hazardous? (she spelled the word wrong, so we corrected it for her) Also, as far as I know Archie’s is all about junk food which isn’t good for athletes/Boys. You must know well as you are mother and athlete yourself?”

Not just its not Veena’s place to make such absurd comments about Sania’s motherhood, but also, this was quite unnecessary and stupid. Sania, not keeping quiet on this, slammed the actress in a tweet that said, “Veena, I have not taken my kid to a sheesha place. Not that it’s any of your or the rest of the world’s business cause I think I care bout my son a lot more than anyone else does :) secondly I am not Pakistan cricket team’s dietician nor am I their mother or principal or teacher. To know when they sleep, wake up and eat .. thank you for your concern though .. means a lot.”

And we do solemnly agree with what Sania has to say. It is easy, and apparently always has been, to deflect from an issue and go completely random. Be it laying down the onus of a failure on a player’s spouse- Anushka has been given flak every time the Indian team lost- till Virat asked people to stop doing it or now Sania, a mere spectator in the sport at this point, randomly being targetted because someone wanted to stay relevant.

Of course Sania doled out a clarification in the matter, but we would understand even if she did not.  Because what people do off the field in their personal time is none of anybody’s concern and not of Veena Malik to say the least.
