A Twitch User Gives It Back To A Troll After Getting Asked The Colour Of Her Thong. Video Goes Viral!
As a writer whose primary job may be to report on events around the world, but also includes a whole lot of venting out on feminist issues and violence against women, I get thrilled every time I come across like minded people. Especially women who never believe in mincing their worlds and give misogynistic pricks out there a piece of their mind. Like video gamer and Twitch user Emme “negaoryx” Montgomery whose video of shutting down a viewer’s sexist comment has gone viral on Twitter for all the right reasons.
One would think that paying videos games on the internet would be just about that—playing. But as it turns out, it has also become a breeding ground of chauvinistic men who go about asking women the most indecent and irrelevant questions on such virtual reality gaming sites. Like a guy that Negaoryx came across on Twitch who dared to ask her the colour of her thong during the game.
With her reaction and million-dollar rant recorded on video, her slam against the troll in question and out there in general is being applauded and how. In a video that has garnered over 6.2 million views since it was posted, Negaoryx starts by saying, “Respect women, you just absolute infant of a human.” Safe to say, we were hooked with this one line already.

What came next were a whole lotta truth bombs, ultimately decimating the pathetic person behind the anonymous username who thought he was entitled to such an information in the first place. She says, “So, what did you expect? Did you expect I was gonna be like, ‘Blue. Why, do you want to find out? Here’s my number.’ Like what do you think people are gonna do, my dude? How do you think it’s going any other way than how it went?”
Rather than understanding the point here, gracefully stepping down or even apologising, the troll comes back at her saying she couldn’t even take a joke. To this, the gamer replied, “[Mike Birbiglia] has a really great bit where he talks about how jokes have been ruined by people like yourself who say sh**** misogynistic things and then when someone calls them out on it they say, ‘I’m joking.’ Because then people say, ‘Oh, we just can’t joke around in the workplace anymore?’ No, the rest of us can still joke. You can’t because you were never joking in the first place. You were just being a misogynistic, sexist piece of s***.”
This is incredible. Complete verbal obliteration, teaching a lesson to help make people better, while still hunting victims in game. This linguistic fire was forged with 1/3 of her attention. She says, “And then, you don’t like hearing that because someone’s holding a mirror up to you and it makes you uncomfortable because you know you and you know the parts of you that are good. So in your heart you have to come up with a narrative that makes you feel better about the fact that somebody’s asking you to confront the parts about yourself that you hate the most. And me telling you, ‘You’re not joking’ is me asking for you to hold yourself accountable to be a better person because you’re not right now. And I’m sorry if that’s hard for you to hear cause you think you’re the hero of your own story but you’re a footnote in everyone else’s.”
In our heads, her rant ended with a majestic *mic drop* moment, because boy did she hit the nail right! Hopefully her words would come as a warning signal for others who believe it is okay or funny to ask such questions, when in reality all they are are pathetic, sexist and plain right offensive.
