Twinkle Khanna’s Reply To PM Modi’s Remark Was Rather Tame. It’s Making Us Wonder Why
There are two things that work like magic in India – Bollywood and cricket. And it would only make sense to tap into their tremendous popularity. Which is exactly what our current PM is doing. He sat down with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar to talk about his life and revealed a bunch of things about his childhood, family and career. But perhaps one of the most exciting bits of this conversation was when Modi took a subtle swipe at Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna when he said, “ I follow you (Akshay Kumar) and Twinkle Khanna ji on Twitter. From the way she targets me, I understand there must be peace in your family life,” adding, “All her anger must have been spent on me, and so you must be feeling at peace.”
I have a rather positive way of looking at this-Not only is the Prime Minister aware that I exist but he actually reads my work 🙂 ? https://t.co/Pkk4tKEVHm

Twinkle Khanna, in her signature style but perhaps a little tame, replied to this remark on Twitter. Previously, Twinkle has been quite scathing in her remarks against the government. Everything from their politics to their competency has been taken apart on her social media. So this remark was unlike her. Mrs. Funnybones, as she calls herself online, also has a column in a leading daily where she covers varied topics ranging from home things to politics and everything in between. And she rips apart people, establishments in her pieces, leaving them sobbing in a corner. So why this very pandering reply to Modi? Has she had a change of heart or are her husband’s politics rubbing off on her?
Let’s have a closer look at what she said. She mentions that she’s glad the PM knows she exists. Dear Twinkle, come on, everybody has watched Mela, that glorious piece of trash that masqueraded as a movie. It was an assault to our senses and our sensibilities but we remember it and with that, you will be forever etched into our brains, not in a good way.
Guess we will never know.
