Tripura CM Biplap Deb Says Diana Hayden Isn’t An Indian Beauty
Some men shouldn’t be allowed to speak in public. And if they do, they should be handed a script they aren’t allowed to deviate from. One of these men is Tripura CM Biplab Deb. This is a man who is in the news again today for saying that Diana Hayden a representation of Indian beauty.
He said this while offering no actual explanation for this statement, but we gather he has some deeply philosophical reasoning behind this. We assume this because he recently also said that Internet and satellite existed during the times of Mahabharat. Yeah, that took us by surprise too.
Now, continuing his streak as a champion of shoving his foot in his mouth, the eloquent Chief Minister expressed his displeasure at Diana Hayden winning the crown 21 years ago. Not only is this extremely relevant (I mean, what happened 21 years ago is important), it also shows that Mr. Biplap thinks through every statement he makes. Not content with just becoming a joke on the Internet, he said, pageants had Indian winners only because of the market opportunity, and only Aishwarya Rai is a true representation of Indian beauty.
We are watching this man like a hawk because he makes for such delicious news reports, and we love that.
