This Woman Had Her Cheating Husband Tied Up In A Cage And Thrown In A River. Adultery Is A Deal-Breaker But This Is A Little Extreme

In my complicated dating history, I have come across a number of scenarios that really stumped me. In retrospect, I think I might be turned on by red flags, the more the better. But that’s a whole different conversation. However, the one rule of thumb I always stick by is the classic, “once a cheater, always a cheater.” Cheating is a deal-breaker that shouldn’t be tolerated. Although, this woman’s way of dealing with her cheating husband might be too extreme. After finding out what he had been up to, the woman tied him up and threw him in the river. Yikes, what an unusual way of getting revenge. BRB, taking notes. 

According to various reports, after this Chinese woman found out that her husband was cheating on her, she tied him up in a cage and threw him in a river. This incident happened in Maoming city located in southwestern Guangdong province of China and was caught on camera by Chinese media. The footage is going viral all over the country. 

The video shows the half-naked husband in bed with his mistress when a few men barge into the room and tie him up in a bamboo cage. These men then throw the cage, with the stunned half-naked man, into a river. The husband was soon taken out of the river without any serious damage.

This extreme punishment might have shocked you but what is interesting here is that in ancient China, during the rule of the Ming and Qing dynasties, this used to be the punishment for adultery. The practice is called, “dip in a pig cage”. Back then, they would leave the people accused of cheating in the cage until they drown and die. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case here. 

The man was taken to the hospital after this incident. He does not suffer any serious injuries and his assailants have also been detained by the authorities.  

Honestly, as I said earlier, I hate cheaters as much as the next person. But tying someone up in a cage and throwing them into a river sounds a tad extreme. Maybe there are some parts of history that shouldn’t be brought to life in the 21st century. No matter how fitting the punishment might be.
