This Woman From Hyderabad Conned Two Men And Extorted Huge Amounts Of Money. Honey Trapping Is Extremely Common

Here’s the thing, there is a vast difference between being a feminist and a male basher. You see, a male basher blames only the men for all the wrongdoings without considering that women have faults too. If you have followed Hauterfly stories then you know that we are not male bashers, we just strive for equality. Which means that it’s a two-way street. When a woman is at fault, she deserves the same punishment and judgement as a man would receive in her place.

The reason that I am talking about this today is that a story has just come to light where a woman has conned two men and extorted humungous amounts of money from them.

Malvika Devati, a 44-year-old woman from Hyderabad was arrested for fraudulently stripping an NRI off of 65 lakhs. And within a week of her arrest, a Hyderabad-based IT professional came forward and claimed she had also conned him out of Rs 1 crore via a matrimony fund.

A few weeks ago, the Jubilee Hills police arrested Malvika and her 22-year-old son Pranav Lalith Gopal Devathi for duping the US-based NRI engineer. On a matrimonial site, she used a fake alias by the name of Dr Keerthi from Jubilee Hills. On the pretext of marriage, Malvika lured him in and convinced him that her mother was trying to force her to sign over her properties. She told the NRI that her father had died, and she needed the money to fight a legal battle against her mother. He believed her and gave Rs 65 lakhs after which cut all ties with him and disappeared.

He soon realised that he had been conned and filed a police complaint. It was only a week after she was arrested that the IT professional came forward and accused her of duping him similarly.

He claimed that Malvika used a fictitious name and a fake profile to lure him in on a matrimonial website. She went by the name Anu Pallavi Maganti and introduced herself as a doctor of Indian origin from Baltimore, USA. She spun a similar tale, claiming that her bank accounts had been blocked by her politically influential family and needed money to handle legal issues with them.

The 33-year-old IT-professional transferred Rs 1.02 crores to her in multiple transactions. He claimed that he was smitten by her “love chat” on Telegram and WhatsApp. He had to dig into his savings and even borrowed money from others to give to her.

As per her modus operandi, she disappeared as soon as she got the money.

A case has been registered against Malvika under Sections 420, 406 of the IPC, Section 66 of the IT Act.

So, you see, scams happen both ways and we can’t always blame one gender for being the bad fish. Women are as much to blame for their share of wrongdoings as men are.

As I said, it’s all about equality. And well, of course, the fact that duping people is wrong on all levels.
