This Man Came Up With A Risky Plan To Get His Wife To Stop Giving Him The Silent Treatment.

Being in a relationship is complicated and hard work. But at the same time it’s fun and very satisfying *coughs*. Although, the one thing I do not miss about relationships is the fights that come along with it. And yet, we all have them. However, when your partner apologizes and then makes a sweet gesture, like buy you fries, it’s all suddenly worth it. But let me ask you this, what if your partner doesn’t apologize and instead messes with everything in the house and pranks you? Like this man did when his wife would not speak to him. Before you get any ideas, he did all that to get her to talk to him because she would need his help. Do you think a good way to end a fight? I don’t. I would get doubly annoyed, fix everything myself and still not speak to him. Ah, the joys of being in a relationship. 

In a series of videos posted on TikTok, netizen Trip Uhl D said that he was looking for a way to get his wife, who was giving him the silent treatment, to speak to him again.

The three videos that he posted captioned, “I have a plan”, have racked up over 13 million views. Wow, there must be a lot of men who are looking for a creative way to get out of trouble by not apologizing to their partners huh?

Anyway, the first video starts with the man turning off the water to the bathroom toilet, flipping around the batteries in the television remote, unscrewing lightbulbs, placing kitchen pans on the highest shelf out of the reach of his 5’2″ partner, and changing the TV language to Spanish. He did all this in the hope that she has to come to him for help. Hence, giving him a way out. I laughed so much while watching this. I don’t think he knows what he is in for. 

In the following parts of the video series, he continues by cutting the power to the coffee machine, changing the settings on her phone and disabling the Wi-Fi. He also tightens the lid on every jar in the fridge, removes the air from his wife’s car’s ties and puts bricks in the dustbin to make it heavy. Wow. This man should be on Fear Factor or Roadies because he is clearly fearless and well, creative. Although, I think he went too far with the Wi-Fi and the coffee machine, don’t you agree? 

In the end, he says that he now just has to sit back and wait because soon she will have no option but to speak to him.

A lot of people commented on the videos clearly impressed by this mans ingenious ideas. But I don’t think that’s the word I would use. I would describe this as sneaky. Now, of course, we don’t know why this man’s wife is so annoyed with him. All we do know is that everything he did to make up for it was extremely funny. Though I am not sure his wife will see it that way. Why won’t he just go up to her and apologize? Maybe he did but it hasn’t worked. But it makes me wonder what he did. 

Although, I have to say I was a little disappointed when his wife’s reactions were not shown. I really want to know. Did she ask him for help or did she maintain her silent treatment streak? What happened after he was waiting? It’s not fair to leave 13 million people on a cliffhanger. It’s rude even. 

While these videos were fun and hilarious, I really hope no boyfriend or husband ever picks up these tricks. It will make things worse. So, instead of creeping around messing with our phone settings, the WiFi and unplugging the coffee maker, just apologize. It’s not that tough to do.
