We live in a very twisted era because most of us pretend like we don’t want any grand gestures or cheesiness in the name of romance. But deep down, all we really want is old-fashioned romance. In fact, what is that term even? How can romance ever be outdated? The way we look at love, I feel is just our coping mechanism at play, our armour because of the with several disappointments we faced. That mixed with protective instincts so we don’t end up getting hurt again. We want to look detached and somehow, having emotions and expectations seem like a bad thing.

But then, while we are trying to fill our voids with half-baked relationships, some people in the world are loving and in a way that makes them whole. In fact, when I come across such couples, a part of me knows I want that too!

This couple will make you romanticise marriage too! Here’s what unfolded in the lovebirds’ abode. This guy’s wife is a doctor and has been treating coronavirus patients day in and out. It’s needless to say that this is an especially stressful time for her because there is a dearth of doctors all around the world, and they are the ones waging this battle at the frontline to treat COVID-19 patients. Like many others, this lady here is surviving on little food and sleep and still saving lives.

My wife is a doctor. As you can imagine, her stress/anxiety level rn is HIGH. I try to do little things around the house to take her mind off of reality. This was her surprise…

Her husband wanted to do something to help her relax and soothe her worries. So he built her a cozy fort inside their house. You know, the kind we used to build as a child except fancier. In a video that was shared on Reddit,  the husband is seen vacuuming the place while their dog watches him. He then built the fort using bedsheets. He decorated the ‘comfort castle’ with fairy lights and placed a mattress inside so they could cuddle in it. He ordered her favourite food and wine and wrote a note saying, “Your puppies and hubby are waiting to snuggle.”
