This 70-Year-Old Man Tied The Knot With This 55-Year-Old Woman In Madhya Pradesh. They Found Love On A Hospital Bed

I don’t know about you but I have never bought into the whole concept of soulmates. I don’t believe that two people are destined to be together and our whole lives are a scavenger hunt to find that other person. My philosophy is that keep at it, fall in love and work hard at your relationship every day. It’s not easy and it takes a lot of work but it’s like they say- when you know, you know. Yes, that’s very cliche but it’s one that I believe in.

It may take a long time to find that one person that sticks by you no matter what. Nothing in the world is constant. Not even our relationships. They vary from person to person and circumstance to circumstance. But, the great part about love is that there is no age limit. You could fall in love tomorrow, get married and have kids. Or you could fall in love 50 years down the line after you have done the whole marriage and kids thing if that’s what you want. Life, love and relationships are unpredictable but that’s what makes them it so much fun and worth it.

Today, we are talking about a unique love story. A 70-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman fell in love and got married in a village in Madhya Pradesh. They fell in love while they were both admitted to the hospital at the same time and had adjoining beds.

The man, Umrao Singh, and the woman, Guddibai got to talking and fell in love. They spent three days in the hospital together and after which they decided they wanted to get married. Once both of them were discharged, Umrao Singh took Guddibai to his village in Bhurakhedi to ask for consent from his kids and grandkids.

Umrao has 4 sons and 12 grandsons. According to Patrika, his wife died three years ago. Guddibai, on the other hand, has two sons and one daughter. Her husband died 30 years ago. After all this time, they found each other. Isn’t that just so heartwarming and wonderful?

It was only after their families agreed that the couple decided to tie the knot in front of the entire village.

I know that a lot of people in our country would’ve questioned and objected to this union. And to them I say, broaden your minds. Everyone deserves companionship and I don’t see why their age has to be the deciding factor.

This is just so heartwarming and after reading their story, I am thinking maybe the hospital is where I should be at. I guess sometimes you do find love in the most hopeless places. Although, I really wish we would hear more love stories like this one.
