Revealed: Google’s New Smartphone, Pixel!

Google, the superhero of all companies, is back with a new gadget after recently launching their app, and this time, it is looking to give some serious competition to Apple’s phones. Google Pixel and Pixel XL were launched last night and will be available for pre-orders in India from Oct 13 onward. Starting at Rs 57,000, these babies are currently leading the android army and have to fulfill a lot of expectations!

The Pixels come in 5-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes, and will be available in black and silver options. Both devices are built using aerospace-grade aluminium unibodies that gives it a super smooth surface. Surprisingly, it looks quite similar to the iPhone with only the trademark home button missing. What are you up to Google?

Here are the top features of the new smartphones that Google thinks distinguishes them from the herd:

1. Camera

The camera is supposedly the best and Google has ranked it as 89, which is above HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S7. Let’s see if the photographers approve of this 12.3 MP camera.

2. Google Assistant

It is the first time that Google Assistant is going to come as a built-in feature in any smartphone. It is replacing Google Now and has more functionality than its predecessor.

3. Battery

The Nexus range was known for its long battery life and the Pixel goes a step further — charge for just 15 minutes and you’re good to go for at least 7-8 hours. Now that’s one stellar feature!

4. Unlimited Photo Storage

Yes, it has unlimited photo storage that allows you to click as many images as you like! Something that is a major boon in today’s day and age.

5. Google Duo

The facetime feature for android, which was, up until now available on the play store, will now come in as an in-built app for Pixel. The best part of this video-calling feature is that you get a preview of the other person even before you answer the call. Quite cool!

Google Pixel with 32GB and 128GB storage options will be available at Rs 57,000 and Rs 66,000, respectively. The larger Pixel XL will cost the buyers Rs 67,000 and Rs 76,000 for 32GB and 128GB variants, respectively. Watch the brand’s official video here:
