WhatsApp Rolls Out 3 New Features That Are…Meh

WhatsApp is on a roll this week, throwing one update after another at us. But honestly, they’re not terribly exciting. It seems like, just for the heck of it (maybe because the developer was bored), they gave us not one, but 3 new features.

Oh also, they are only available on iOS right now. Android peeps, you aren’t missing anything.

1. Albums

If you send more than 5 images together, it will convert into an album, saving you the hassle of scrolling through thousands of group images from the monsoon road trip to Vasai.

Okay, this one is slightly helpful.

2. Quick Reply

If you swipe right on any message in the group chat, you can automatically reply to that particular text, instead of a long press/double click and pressing ‘reply’.

3. Filters

And last but not the least, you can now put filters directly on your WhatsApp images, and you have 5 filter options — pop, black and white, cool, chrome, and film.
