Tamannaah Bhatia Replaces Mouni Roy In Bole Chudiyaan. Apparently, Mouni’s Attitude Was Unacceptable

By  |

It’ s been a few years since I’ve been working now, and if there is one thing that it has taught me it is that everyone is replaceable. You may be an excellent resource or a fit, but when push comes to shove, there will always be someone in the line ready to fill in for you, as has been the case with Gold actress, Mouni Roy.

The actress, who was initially locked down for the lead role in the film Bole Chudiyan, alongside of Nawazauddin Siddique, has reportedly been replaced by the Baahubali actress, Tamannaah Bhatia. This sudden change took place, after  the producers, directors and even the actor felt that Mouni Roy’s conduct regarding the project was ‘highly unprofessional’. From going ahead and revealing instances about how she had walked in about 2 hours late unapologetically for a script reading, to sharing how her agency was equal amounts of unprofessional, the actress was subsequently asked to walk out of the film, as she later did.

This is the debut film of Nawaz’s brother, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, and is a project close to their hearts and after much contemplation, was finally offered to Tamannah Bhatia, who graciously accepted. In a recent post, by the director, he shared his excitement and satisfaction about finally having found the perfect actress for this project. The actress when asked about the role, stated, “I am looking forward to being a part of this project. The script fits in beautifully with the narrative. This will be the very first time I will be attempting such a multi-layered character in a mainstream Bollywood film. What really caught my attention was the storyline of the film which is a relevant and prevalent issue that grips society at large even today.”

Having Nawazuddin in the cast, we are somewhere already convinced that the film is going to be iconic and no less than a masterpiece. Having done projects like Gangs of Wasseypur and Sacred Games,  we know that this guy has his acting chops in place. Nawaz on sharing the screen with Tamanaah said, “I am so happy and satisfied with this casting and looking forward to working with Tamannaah. I feel she is the correct and the perfect choice for this role.” And we think all’s well that ends well.

The shoot for this love-story is set to begin in Rajasthan, and word is that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap will also be seen doing a cameo role.
