Taapsee Pannu’s Response To This Twitter Troll Proves She Is Super Cool And Not A “Sasti Copy”

We find Twitter quite the amusing place; it’s the equivalent of an office except the employees are all trolls. We wake up every morning, cringe a little, have coffee and make it to work, more or less on time. Seems like these Twitter trolls do pretty much the same thing. And probably with a lot more passion, and no Monday blues. But hey, we get paid and they don’t, so it’s probably for the passion of pulling a public figure down (sadistic peeps!), or attempting to. Just recently, Anushka Sharma was trolled for not knowing the signal of a four, although she is married to Indian cricket team’s captain Virat Kohli. And now, Taapsee Pannu had to experience twitter trolls spewing venom, first hand.

So recently Taapsee announced that she has signed a film with Anubhav Sinha, Thappad, and shared a post, “Cheers to the new beginning with some good food! This one is a subject way too close to my heart. I’ve been wanting to do this since years. It becomes exciting when it happens with the ‘Man of The Moment’ @anubhavsinha 8th March 2020 will surely be the day to watch out for!”

While most of us got super excited at that, because we like food and we like Taapsee, a Twitter user decided to give some unsolicited advice to Sinha.  He wrote, “@anubhavsinha sir I think u should caste some other actress. Taapsee doesn’t knows acting.” Okay, firstly, Anubhav Sinha cannot “caste” any actress. And secondly, does he know that Anubhav wasn’t really seeking his approval? We mean, even if there was a jury to rate Taapsee’s acting skills, this user wouldn’t be on it. And with her remarkable performance in movies such as Mulk, Manmarziyaan, Badla and Game Over, we believe the fact that Taapsee is a good actress is long-established!

However, it’s not like her confidence will breakdown because of a naysayer. Or Sinha will re-consider his upcoming movie’s cast. But what really impressed us is the way Taapsee replied to the troll. She wrote, “Sorry yaar, ab toh sab kuch sign n seal ho chuka hai. Ab toh sir ko main hi nahi nikaalne dungi. But ek kaam karo, agli wali ke liye rok lo kyunki shayad woh bhi main lock karva lu jald hi. #TryAgain.”

Clearly, Taapsee is in a positive space and doesn’t let the cynics affect her. In fact, she was recently under Twitter attack by Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel who called her a “sasti copy” of Kangana. Even Anurag Kashyap expressed his thoughts on how far Rangoli has gone, taking on celebrities, but Taapsee remained calm. When Deccan Chronicle asked her about this comment, she said, “I am not reacting to this. I am way too taken up with looking at the positive side of people, things in general and my own life. I genuinely have no time to spare for this.”

Kudos to this woman! Dear Rangoli, if she was a “sasti copy” of Kangana, she’d be going around mudslinging everyone too.

On the work front, Taapsee is awaiting the release of Saand Ki Aankh. The film, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar, is set to hit the screens on October 25.
