Sonakshi Sinha Leads The Way With An Anti-drug Campaign!
There was a time, not very long back, when Bollywood was all style, no substance. Some would argue that nothing has changed. That it’s all glamour and there’s none of the heft. Where influence meant being popular and power was being able to walk around in the right circles. But, this is starting to change, thankfully. We’re finally seeing Bollywood celebrities and actors using their influence and power to endorse causes that are important and that need more attention than their airport looks.
Actors like Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt (who has always been vocal about his struggle with drugs), are paving a way to create awareness about drug abuse by launching an anti-drug campaign. The two are reported to plan road-shows and talks hosted by actors like Varun Dhawan and Aamir Khan to talk about the ill-effects of drugs and enlighten the youth about this addiction.
There's more to life than just losing yourself to drugs! Being a victim of the life-threatening effects of it, I'm glad to start a movement which will change our youth's perception towards such substances. Join us on 18th Feb. 🙏#DrugFreeIndia pic.twitter.com/Vn74GUCwIP

In a tweet promoting the same, Sanjay Dutt wrote, “I always wanted to do something to uproot drug addiction from India. The #DrugFreeIndia campaign is a step towards that! Because of my personal experiences, it’s a cause very close to my heart and I want to help the youth of our country”. And we stand in total support.
The campaign is set to take off from the Chandigarh University in Mohali and further spread to other cities to make the youth pledge towards a cleaner state of mind and abstinence from such obsession.
