Sara Ali Khan Makes Her Debut On The Forbes Top 100 Celebrities List With Just Two Films In Her Kitty! Okay, Wow.
We love it when women are the ones making us proud, taking up big powerful spots, claiming what is theirs and rising up to the occasion, especially if it means having a chance at changing the way people look at us. After decades of letting men and the society step down on us, we finally have women changing the narrative and how. Just like we have celebrities like Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt among many others, making it to the Forbes List of top 100 celebrities 2019’s top ten!
A list that is released by Forbes every where, marks the top 100 most celebrities across the nation on the basis of their popularity, fame and the remuneration they’ve earned throughout the year. Topping the list this year, we had ace cricketer Virat Kohli, followed by Akshay Kumar on second and Salman Khan on third. But what caught our attention was Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone making it to the 8th and 10th spot, respectively. And we are proud. We are glad that the pay disparity isn’t nearly as bad as we thought it was. I mean, the women still come in the later half of the top ten but at least that’s something.

Alia Bhatt who recently delivered a brilliant performance in the film Gully Boy was in the 8th position with a whopping 59.21 crores, while Deepika has been placed at rank 10 with earnings worth of 48 crores this year. The fact that the number has dipped in comparison to last year, was also because she did not have a film release this year. However, we are looking forward to the release of her upcoming social drama, Chhappak.
Following them at number 66 was the debutante star kid, Sara Ali Khan, with 5.75 crores , who though is only two movies old in the fraternity, and has managed to make it to the list on basis of her fame and the big bucks she is rolling in through the endorsements. At least, that’s what we are assuming. Her first film Kedarnath, that did decently was soon replaced with the love she received for Simmba, but even more than that, it has been the number of appearances and endorsements that she is cashing in on, that have made Sara make a leap into the list for the first time. Impressing us with yet another feat in such a short duration, Sara continues to head forward in the game and we gotta admit, it makes us proud on a lot of levels. Because if this is her with only two movies in her kitties, who’s to say where she is going to be at when she has more films releasing.
Of course, the star kid has admitted to having a pretty great head-start for being born into a family of celebrities, but she’s also proved that it is her caliber that is perhaps making her keep her place in the tinsel town. The list also actresses like Taapsee Pannu, Kangana Ranaut and Malaika Arora Khan making it to the top 100. Along with a total of six sportswomen making it to Top 100, including names like Mithali Raj, P VSindhu, Saina Nehwal, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur.
