Rhea Chakraborty Breaks Her Silence On Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death. Netizens Spew Hate. This Is Awful

Exactly a month ago, the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death shook the whole country. I didn’t know him personally, but it’s very difficult to believe that a man as talented and intelligent as Sushant could take his own life. There is no doubt that he was failed by a society that ignores mental health issues and an industry that has a certain hostility and ignorance towards people who rise through the ranks based on their merit and hard work.

Sushant’s death was felt by millions of people, most of whom just knew of him. But, I can only imagine just how difficult it might’ve been on his friends and family members. And especially since the media treated his death like it’s a piece of hot Bollywood gossip. There was no sensitivity in the way they reported his suicide. It was shameful.

Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant’s rumoured girlfriend has just broken her silence on his death by sharing a heartfelt and emotional note accompanied by photos of her and Sushant on Instagram. Both the photos show them cosying up with each other. This is truly heartbreaking.

She wrote, “Still struggling to face my emotions.. an irreparable numbness in my heart. You are the one who made me believe in love, the power of it. You taught me how a simple mathematical equation can decipher the meaning of life and I promise you that I learnt from you every day. I will never come to terms with you not being here anymore. I know you’re in a much more peaceful place now.”

She further added, “The moon, the stars, the galaxies would’ve welcomed “the greatest physicist “with open arms. Full of empathy and joy, you could lighten up a shooting star – now, you are one. I will wait for you my shooting star and make a wish to bring you back to me. You were everything a beautiful person could be, the greatest wonder that the world has seen. My words are incapable of expressing the love we have and I guess you truly meant it when you said it is beyond both of us. You loved everything with an open heart, and now you’ve shown me that our love is indeed exponential. Be in peace Sushi.30 days of losing you but a lifetime of loving you…Eternally connected To infinity and beyond.”

If rumours are to be believed then Rhea and Sushant were together for a while but broke up just a few days before he died by suicide. They were spotted on multiple occasions and even went on vacations together. Something they both categorically denied, refusing to speak about the relationship. And to make matters worse, rumour has it that a 2021 wedding was on the cards. Now, obviously we have no confirmation of anything but we do know that there are very few things in life that are tougher than losing someone you love so tragically..

Ever since Sushant’s death hit the news, Rhea has been battling waves of social media hate. She has been the butt of many controversies and conspiracies. I mean, we all know just how awful and insensitive netizens can be at times. But today, as soon as she shared this emotional post, Twitterati were all over her. Some blamed her for what happened to Sushant while others called her fake, pretentious, a slut and a gold digger. One person went as far as calling her, “India’s most hated woman” and a murderer.

Why? Why is Rhea being blamed for what happened? It’s appalling. We should all be ashamed. Just because she was his partner doesn’t mean that his death is on her hands. Also, just because she posted on Instagram a month after doesn’t mean that she’s fake. Everyone has their own ways of coping with something so huge. Pouncing on her is not only unfair but also asshole-y behaviour. It got so heated that her name was trending on Twitter all day. This voyeuristic behaviour needs to stop.

Rhea was not the only one who broke her stoic silence on Sushant’s death today. His ex-girlfriend and Pavitra Rishta co-star, Ankita Lokande also took to Instagram to express her grief. She shared a picture of a diya which she lit before Lord Ganesha in Sushant’s memory. The caption to the picture read, “Child of God”.

Sushant Singh Rajput will always be remembered as the charming actor who left us too soon. Rhea’s note is heartfelt and she has expressed herself beautifully. I think his death has left us all feeling a little hollow and poignant. Hopefully, it has also taught us to be kinder to one another.
