Rangoli Chandel Just Called Padmaavat Soft Porn. Erm Rangoli, Have You Ever Watched Porn?
A while ago, Kangana Ranaut spoke about her plans to make her biopic and that she’d like her sister Rangoli Chandel to handle it. And though Kangana herself is quite an interesting person, I’d be more interested in getting inside Rangoli’s head. For instance, I had once watched a documentary on a guy who turned to cannibalism and I thoroughly enjoyed it. That film was so intriguing because it gave us insights into a guy we just can’t relate to. Now, I am not saying Rangoli is practising cannibalism. Or at least she is not physically ripping people apart. Maybe with her tweets, yes. But then I think by now her favourite targets have learnt to take it all with a pinch of salt. Which makes me feel, if they are not making a biopic on her, at least make a book out of her tweets because a lot of those are so bad, that they are good.
Contributing to her future big book of questionable tweets, Rangoli commented on Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior while calling Padmaavat “soft porn”. Now do you get what I am talking about? Whatever she is having, it’s really potent, probably the same that a section of our politicians are high on. She wrote: “Film industry ne kadam uthaya hai, kya hum Tanhaji ko bhi utna he payaar denge jitna humne criminal white washing karne wali film Sanju ya history ka soft p*rn banane wali Padmavat ko diya ? Taali dono hathon se bajti hai, hath badhao desh bachao.”
She called Sanju a movie that white washes a criminal and while I don’t want to get into the legal aspects of it, I kinda agree with her. It definitely seemed like a desperate to try and justify Sanjay Dutt’s actions. But please someone tell me how is Padmaavat soft porn? Has Rangoli ever watched porn? In fact, has she ever watched Kangana’s movies? If Padmaavat was soft porn, then Rangoon has to be hardcore stuff. At least, by Rangoli’s idea of porn.
It seems like she is going to target Deepika Padukone for quite some time now. Recently, when Deepika went to JNU to stand with the students, Kangana tweeted about it calling it a PR stunt. Honestly, I feel like I am beginning to understand Rangoli’s strategies. She picks her targets based on what is currently trending and latches on to them to get some publicity herself. That’s what it looks like to me.

Meanwhile, I haven’t watched Tanhaji yet but according to The Quint it is brimming with Islamophobia. Which is why, I am all the more curious to watch it and see if I share the same opinion. I want to watch Tanhaji for this reason, not because of your tweet Rangoli. But she did make my day by amusing me with her mind-boggling tweet.
