Nushrat Bharucha Refuses To Endorse Weight Loss Pill!

By  |

They say actors will do anything for money. And most of the time, arguing against this is futile. Because by the time you start to say anything in their defence, they are dancing at a wedding somewhere, and you end up looking stupid. But it looks like the newer crop of actors and actresses might come with something akin to a conscience. Which is really encouraging to know.

Nushrat Bharucha, who is now a household name due to her role in the movie Sonu Ke Titu Ke Sweety, apparently let go of a pretty sum because she didn’t want to endorse a product she didn’t believe in.

The actress was approached by a company to lend her face and voice to pills that help people maintain weight. Not entirely convinced of the efficacy, she turned it down. This isn’t the first time she’s done this though. Nushrat also refused to endorse a fairness cream earlier.

We are glad the voices that actually matter have decided to take up the responsibility that comes with being famous.
