4 Men Molested A Woman Because She Objected To Them Playing Loud Music. This Is Preposterous!
‘Stay home after dark‘, ‘don’t go out with male friends‘, ‘don’t wear provocative clothes‘, are all some of the guidelines issued to us women in order to ensure our safety. Because in our world, teaching men how NOT to misbehave with women has been ruled out as an option. So much so that women can’t even lodge a complaint about loud music in their building, without getting molested for it. Yes, this is what happened with a woman from Greater Noida. In a very shocking and disgusting piece of news, four men from Greater Noida were accused and arrested by the police for allegedly harassing and molesting a 30-year-old woman who dared to ring their apartment bell and complain about the loud music.
The incident apparently took place on Monday evening, when the victim who was being bothered by the loud music, decided to do something about it. In the apartment just below her’s, there were about 5 men visiting her neighbour.

She said, “We tried to ignore it (the loud music) at first. Eventually we asked them to stop but they refused and started misbehaving with us. They came to our flat and despite our objections, they forced their way inside. They misbehaved with me and my husband and even went so far as to hit us. They held my hand and molested me.”
With injuries on her wrist, the woman then reported the matter to the police. Station house officer of Bisrakh police station said, “The four suspects were nabbed from near Labour Chowk following inputs from an informant.” Meanwhile, a case against them has been registered under sections 147 (Punishment for rioting), 452 (house trespass), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.
It is an absolute disgrace that these men, so offended with a woman asking them to keep their volume down, went ahead to mishandle, misbehave and molest the woman and her husband. Such intolerance and misogyny that makes men feel entitled to such crass behaviour is simply unacceptable.
The suspects were produced in front of a magistrate and have been now sent to jail.
