Madhuri Dixit Admits To Watching Hum Aapke Hai Koun Countless Times. Looks Like We Aren’t The Only Ones Rewatching Classic Movies

So far, this lockdown has been a real party pooper for it has sucked all the fun out of life leaving us dull and bored. It’s no secret that we don’t have a confirmed end to this lockdown. I mean, PM Modi did say 3rd May but considering the number of cases crossed 30,000 and the death toll crossed 1,000 do you really think the country is set to reopen in three days? I wouldn’t bet on those odds. Besides, some states like Punjab and Maharashtra have already announced an extension until mid May. They say things get worse just before they get better, so here’s hoping.

For the time being, people are spending their time learning new things and partaking in activities they haven’t done for ages (in my case cleaning my cupboard). But this lockdown isn’t all about being productive is it? Nah, it’s about using this time to relax (actually it’s about being safe, but you get my point). Which means doing whatever makes you happy even if that is watching classic movies over and over again just like Madhuri Dixit.

One of Bollywood’s most favourite actress, Madhuri Dixit held an #AskMD sessions on Tuesday where she answered all the questions posted by her fans. Judging from the kind of questions she got, people really want in on how the stars are spending this time. She spoke about various things and even gave her opinion about this lockdown.

But I really enjoyed her candid answer when someone asked her how many times has she watched her 1994 super hit movie, Hum Aapke Hain Koun. She replied saying, “Honestly, I have lost the count”.  This proves that we aren’t who watch and rewatch classic movies.

Someone also asked her the secret to her glowing skin. She replied saying, “Eat well, drink well & sleep well… Follow a healthy lifestyle and workout to get that glow on your face”.  She has the most beautiful skin, if this all she does to keep it glowing looks like I am in for a major lifestyle change.

People also questioned her about how she is spending her time in lockdown to which she replied, “Mostly spending time with my family, playing with Carmelo, reading books, some cooking and doing kathak riyaz!”

And when someone asked her how she manages to keep a positive outlook she said, “There’s no secret. You just need to find the silver lining in everything.” Which is true, there are so many silver linings to this crisis. If we focus on just the positives, life under lockdown will seem so much easier.

I am a huge fan of Madhuri Dixit.  She is unbelievably gorgeous and such a talented actor and dancer. If I had a penny for every time I have watched Dil Toh Pagal Hai just for her, I would be so rich.

So, when the time came for me pick a skill to learn during this lockdown (so I don’t feel completely useless) I immediately enrolled myself for her online dance classes. Her website Dance with Madhuri conducts various dance classes from Bollywood to Classical. They even conduct ball room dancing, Hip hop dancing and street dancing classes.  This is one of the reasons I love this lockdown. We get to do things that we have been putting off for way too long.

Madhuri is really giving us lockdown goals by just enjoying herself.
