Kim Kardashian Posted A Video Of Herself Wearing A Tight Corset That Makes Her Waistline Look Unrealistically Thin. How Is She Breathing In That??

Do you know why people have been loyal to Keeping Up With The Kardashians through 18 long seasons? It is not (only) because of their drama or the fact that the show it is a guilty pleasure for most people. It’s simple, they live an OTT lifestyle that most people aspire to live only minus the profound vanity that is so prominent amongst the Kardashian clan. But hey, who said vanity doesn’t make for good TV?  

The thing is, no matter what your opinions are on Kim, Kylie and the rest of them you can’t deny that they are make for good TB, especially Kris (the mother). I mean, what started out as merely a reality show has now become an empire and the sisters have all become huge businesswomen in their own rights. Personally, though, I never cared for the show. Not that I don’t like excessive drama and catfights, I obviously do. What I never liked about the Kardashians is the sense of body image they project or their OTT dressing that, let’s be honest, is unreal. 

Recently, Kim posted this video of herself wearing a super tight corset. The corset must be excruciatingly tight because it made her waistline look unrealistically thin. I understand the obsession with having an hour-glass figure, but if that’s what you have to go through to get there I think I’ll be happy with whatever.

First of all, why? Second of all, why? Who looks like this? And even if you do, this is not normal, not common and not possible without the support of a trainer, dietician and a great plastic surgeon.

The caption on the video read, “Just found this in my phone from my special trip to London last year to meet w Mr. Pearl. I wore a corset like this for the Met Ball for my @manfredthierrymugler Camp look but the corset was misplaced that night and I want it so badly preserved for my archive that I flew to London to have another made. We also might have started making a few more costumes including my special 40th bday staging. Can’t wait to show you the video LOOKSSSS we’ve been cooking up”

You remember the Met Ball 2019 dress she is talking about. Yeah, it’s the one that gave her the “wet look” which was in line with the theme of camp. But, in an episode of KUWTK, she said that the dress is so tight that she couldn’t even go to the bathroom. She said would just pee in her dress and have one of her sisters wipe her leg! That’s disgusting. 

In an interview later, she also admitted that the corset that gave her the crushed waistline look really made her suffer. She said, “I have never felt pain like that in my life. I’ll have to show you pictures of the aftermath when I took it off — the indentations on my back and my stomach.”

All this just makes me wonder why she wanted to put this out there. This made indentations on her back and stomach, that’s scary. I would want nothing to do with it anymore. I mean, I abandon bras that make me slightly uncomfortable. But hey, we all know for the Kardashians if you aren’t super uncomfortable, you aren’t doing fashion or beauty right. 

There are literally tons of examples to support that and Kim is no stranger to controversy. She has been accused of extreme photoshopping so many of her pictures- like the one where she mysteriously had six toes on one leg. The reality star has been accused of glorifying eating disorders and talking about being anorexic it’s some kind of #bodygoals. Oh not to mention the many times she has been called out for racial and cultural appropriation. Like when she decided to call her shape wear line Kimono and people were up in arms about it. 

The Kardashian clan has always been known to let style win over comfort and while it’s okay most of the time they have a knack of pushing it to the extreme. You know when I saw the corset she was wearing in the video, the first question that popped into my head was how on earth is she breathing in that thing? 

But what is the need to breathe when you can look sexy instead. What a wonderful message to send to women and girls out there.
