Kareena Kapoor Khan Wants Taimur To Be A Cricketer When He Grows Up. No Pressure, Taimur!
When I was in school, my parents thought I would become a doctor or an engineer or something to do with science. I may have seeded this expectation actually, because I always scored well in math and science, but what they failed to see is that I also scored well in English literature. So I ended up becoming a writer, and nobody in my family had seen it coming. Of course, I had to go through two long years of physics, chemistry and biology in 11th and 12th before I could break it to my parents that their daughter and science aren’t friends anymore, after all. I am pretty sure, most of us have a similar story to tell. Because our parents have a lot of say in our careers, for better or worse. Now, dreading that we may pressurise our children in the same way, most of us have decided that we will let our kids choose their own profession. In this case, Kareena Kapoor Khan is like just any other mom, who looks at her son and tries to guess his future profession.
Recently, in an episode of Dance India Dance 7, Kareena Kapoor Khan revealed that she wants Taimur to become a cricketer, just like his grandpa! For those who live under a rock, Taimur’s grandfather Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was the former captain of Indian cricket team, and was nicknamed Tiger Pataudi. Now, we can’t predict if he will be a cricketer, an actor or an entrepreneur. But if there’s one thing we can foresee is that he whatever he chooses to do, women and men are likely to throw themselves at him.
However, it seems like Kareena is already prepping for Taimur’s cricket career. She took home a bat signed by cricket legend Kapil Dev. In fact, she had also dressed him up in India’s blue jersey during the ICC World Cup 2019. After India’s victory against Pakistan, he was seen looking adorbs holding a salute!
