We really can’t stress on the importance of drinking water more. Don’t you remember the 8-glasses rule we were taught in kindergarten? In fact, every time a zit pops on my face or my tummy starts aching, my mom happily starts preaching about the importance of keeping myself hydrated. In my defense, I have tried my stint with those apps with annoying alarm tones that remind me to drink water, but alas, in vain! Lately, though, I was introduced to the concept of infused water with natural ingredients like fruits and veggies, and now I have my creative genes working on different permutations and combinations. The rage about infused water is totally justified, what with its detoxing power and oh-so-yum flavours that you can experiment with.

Not only does it boost metabolism, but studies have shown that it helps in weight loss, too. Total win-win situation, right?

Here are our 5 favourite natural flavours for infused water, but go ahead, mix and match different fruits, and quirk up the way you drink water!

1. Mojito Water

Turn your favourite drink into a healthy one with this amazing hack. All you need to do is put some mint leaves and lime slices (the more, the merrier) in a bottle, pour some water, and let it infuse for 2 hours to get the perfect flavour.

2. Apple Cinnamon Water

Apple pie is the only thing that strikes my head when I hear of apple and cinnamon together. But be creative and let your water imbibe this amazing flavour. Just drop apple slices in a pitcher and add a cinnamon stick. Place it in the fridge for 2 hours and you’re good to go!

3. Mixed Melon Melody

Grab any kind of melon you can get a hold of — watermelon, muskmelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, etc. Pour some water and ice, and let it chill to perfection.
