11 Hacks To Be Productive Over The Weekend
Aren’t we all just counting down the days of the week, so that we can say TGIF?! Then BOOM! The weekend passes by, and we start the countdown all over again. Making the most of the weekend is very important if you want to make each week count.
Living the 9-to-5 life, or is most of our cases 9-to-whenever-work-gets-done life, it gets difficult to indulge in things you want to do during the week. The weekends just seem to pass by with chores, and we land up spending 30 hours of the 48, sleeping and scrolling through Instagram.
Make each weekend count girls! Here are some tips and tricks to make the best of the blissful 48 hours that you have every week.
1. Treat yourself.
Be good to yourself whether it is buying dessert, impulse shopping, or going for a movie at the theatre.
2. Meet a friend.
The best way to make use of your weekend is to make memories with your friends.
3. Celebrate small achievements.
Whether it is publishing a video on YouTube during the week, or achieving your weekly targets at work. Indulge is small celebrations.
4. Make a checklist.
Whether it is a personal or a career-oriented one, make sure you head into the weekend knowing exactly what you need to do. While you’re at it, don’t go over board with it, and make sure you have time to chill as well.
5. Plan for the weekend in advance.
Make a schedule for the week and make sure to include the next weekend too, so that you can look forward to your aerial yoga session during the coming week itself.
6. Learn something new.
Make it a point to learn something new over the weekend, whether it is cooking your favourite meal, or reading about how the new iPhone X works.
7. Start your day early.
Don’t wake up at noon because by the time you crawl to your kitchen or bathroom, half the day is already gone, and you will fall back into bed thinking just that!
Join your favourite NGO and volunteer to do something you are really passionate about. You can even go help a friend who wants to learn how to bake a cake if you’re good at that!
9. Break a Sweat.
Exercising is the best way to feel productive, and trust me, you’ll realise it when your last rep is done, you’re ready to hit the shower!
10. Don’t try to do it all.
Make realistic goals and don’t try to achieve everything in the 48 hours that you have. You don’t need to learn how to cook spaghetti, do a cut crease eye shadow, and try my ripped jeans DIY, all in one weekend!
11. Indulge in an audio book.
If you don’t have the patience to sit down with a book, then make sure to hear an audio book or a podcast that will keep you informed and entertained through the weekend.
