Hina Khan Was Trolled For Looking Dark And Old After A Long, Exhausting Day. We Can Be So Cruel

There was a time when having a fairer complexion was considered the ultimate barometer of beauty. We don’t know why, but it just was so. While fairness cream ads still continue to appear on our TV screens, it feels like perhaps our obsession with fair skin may be fading. Being dusky or fair doesn’t matter anymore, but this is a memo that a lot of people haven’t got. Actress Hina Khan who is known for her style statements, acting chops and other performances was trolled by the Internet users for looking ‘dark and ugly’ in a picture clicked recently. Hina was seen in blush pink floral co-ordinates. Barring her shades, the actress kept the rest of her look minimal.

The talented actress, who was last seen as Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, attended an event in Delhi on August 8 and got back to Mumbai the same day, late at night. While she was returning back home, the actress was papped by the media. However, the pictures posted on Instagram got all the wrong attention from the users. A lot of users commented it on Hina Khan’s no makeup look and thought it was okay to call her ‘grandma’. Some others even pointed at the bad lighting due to which the pictures didn’t come out well and made her look a certain way.

Hina Khan has been a busy bee this year, she has been traveling since the start of the year. Recently, Hina was shooting in the mountains for an upcoming film. Earlier she attended the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2019 to release the debut look of her film, Lines. She was also in Europe for a short amount of time for the shoot of another project. So clearly the actress has no time to dress up for the media. Now only if people would let her be. We could have all done without these comments!
