Himesh Reshammiya Gives A Break To A Woman Singing At A Bengal Train Station And Now We Actually Want To Watch His Movie
Life has a way of surprising us and in good ways. And maybe that is why no matter how bad life may seem sometimes, these little gestures reinstates my faith in life’s unpredictable workings. As must have been the case with Ranu Mondal, an elderly lady who had been spotted singing the beautiful song ‘Ek pyaar ka nagma‘ by Lata Mangeshkar at a West Bengal train station who is now the voice of a song in Himesh Reshammiya’s upcoming film – Happy, Hardy and Heer.

Turning up, as what one may call Ranu’s fairy godfather, Himesh Reshammiya won several hearts by giving Ranu a chance to sing and record with him. The song called – Teri Meri Kahaani, will be part of Reshammiya’s upcoming film and upon asking what led him to pick Ranu for the song, he had the sweetest reply. He said in a statement how Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan had once advised him to never let go of any talented person he comes across without nurturing them or helping them grow. And keeping those words of wisdom in his mind, the actor/singer did what changed Ranu’s life forever.

Others like Bollywood producer Tanuj Garg, Rahul Dev and Joginder Tuteja also tweeted about the woman and gave her the platform she needed to be awarded an opportunity of this kind. Twitter and these guys lauded Himesh Reshammiya for his choice of artist.
He said, “Have met Ranu ji, and feel that she is blessed with divinity. Her singing was mesmerising, and could not stop myself from offering her the best I could. She is God gifted, which needs to be shared with the world, and by singing in my upcoming movie, Happy, Hardy and Heer and I think I will help her voice reach everyone.”

And no matter how people may have viewed Reshammiya over the years and chosen to remember him for his unique way of holding the mic and not-so-unique way of acting, his sweet gesture and soft-hearted kindness towards Ranuji will be one of the reasons we think of him. Many may have the means to bring about a change but only a handful decide to go through with helping others. Especially a woman like Ranu Mondal, who couldn’t have thought of entering the industry by herself despite the talent, had it not been for Himesh. And that is the reason why, we have new found respect for the singer, and are even looking forward to the release of his song and movie!
