The Sweet Potato Toast Has Taken Over Instagram!
Remember the avocado toast fad? Liked it? Well, there’s another new fad that has been sweeping across the internet and you won’t believe what it is.
Meet the sweet potato toast. Yes, that’s exactly what you read. Ditch that regular plate of buttered toast with preserves and feast on this delicious new breakfast fix instead. It’s the easiest thing to whip up on a lazy Sunday morning. But if you’re in a rush and can’t fit in a sumptuous breakfast into your packed schedule, sweet potato toast can be your easy fix.
It all began this May when blogger Kelsey Presciado of Little Bits Of Real Food discovered what magic you can create with sweet potatoes. All she did was thinly slice a sweet potato, pop it into the toaster, and dress it up with the toppings of her choice.
What a week. A crazy record breaking Pinterest viral week for @littlebitsof_realfood. Apparently a simple idea to toast some sweet potato slices has blown minds and my post about it has gotten an amazing response!! Thought it was only appropriate to make some for breakfast! Love the option of almond butter and banana! I made this almond butter the other day and it has: 1 cup almonds, 1 cup chopped pecans, 2 pitted @ndmedjooldates, and some vanilla and cinnamon! So tasty! And also had some eggs and chicken sausage for extra protein. HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Anyone made #sweetpotatotoast yet??
