Sprinter Dutee Chand Wants Kangana Ranaut To Portray Her In Her Biopic. We Think It’s Going To Be Epic!

Most Indians are unaware of the journey of our Indian athletes. But thanks to biopics made by Bollywood filmmakers, some of these stories see the light of day. Yet another sportsperson’s biopic to be made is that of India’s first openly gay athlete Dutee Chand, who recently came out. She has now revealed that filmmakers are interested in telling her story too, and we can’t wait. Of course, the news hasn’t yet been confirmed by filmmakers.

The India’s fastest woman, Dutee Chand, who holds a record of 11.24 second in 100m sprint, received much appreciation when she came out with her sexuality saying that her gay partner was her soulmate. When asked about who she would want to portray her character, without taking much time she said Kangana Ranaut would be perfect for playing the lead role in her biopic.

Dutee said, “I think Priyanka Chopra did a very good job in Mary Kom. While I don’t know who will eventually be selected, I think Kangana Ranaut can portray me perfectly on screen, I like her as an actress.” We have to agree with Dutee. Kangana is a phenomenal actress and she could definitely be a candidate for the portrayal of a controversial life like Dutee’s.

Kangana also responded to Dutee Chand’s comment and said, “That’s very kind of Duteeji. I am humbled that she feels I am worthy of playing her.” Films made on sport personalities have definitely had a good run at the box office, and we’re sure that Dutee’s biopic won’t be any different. The sprinter who opened up about her same-sex relationship has already made us proud, and now we can’t wait for the official announcement!

Speaking of movie releases, Kangana Ranaut will also be seen in Mental Hai Kya alongside Rajkumar Rao. She is also gearing up for her portrayal as a kabaddi player in her next flick, Panga.
