#HauteSpaces: 28 Kothi Is A Guest House In Jaipur That Feels Like Home

Who doesn’t love a pretty home/work space? I know the answer to that one. So now, every week, I will go in search of the most stunning indoor spaces in our country that will inspire the inner decorator in you. Unique, colourful, or quirky, these photo stories are sure to leave you spellbound, like mouth-hanging-open spellbound. If you know or use a space that fits the description, ping me and we can chat! It can be anything from a home to an office, a studio to a restaurant — if it is fun, I’m game.

The entire #HauteSquad is currently in travel mode…but only hypothetically. Each and every of us wants to go on vacation, but none of us wants to devoid you of the beautiful stories and daily updates. But if I had to go on a quick getaway, it would be to the pink city of India, Jaipur.

And when the royal city has gorgeous accommodation to offer, how can anyone say no?

28 Kothi is a boutique guest house owned and run by jewellery designer Munnu Kasliwal’s son Siddharth and restauranteur, Abhishek Honawar.

Situated in the heart of the bustling city, this guest house will make you feel like royalty, even with its simple charm. Using the colour scheme of cream, brown, and off-white, the space has been done up in a basic yet beautiful way.

A large 2-storey (with a terrace!) property with 2 suites, 2 double rooms, and a single one, 28 Kothi is ideal for a family holiday. Each room has ample space to move around with tropical prints forming a major part of the interior design. The diwans in the rooms are set with mattress seats carved by the windows, making it easy for you to upload those #RoomWithAView pics.

Once the moon shines and the stars come out, the garden area glows with the twinkling yellow lights, attempting to imitate the ones in the sky. Imagine a romantic dinner here with that special someone…ahh.

But make sure that special someone is vegetarian, because this guest house serves only vegetarian food and yes, it has an in-house cafe to provide you with every ghee dipped, local delicacy you can think of.

Now, let me tell you why I would not mind spending the whole day here instead of going out and exploring the city — the library. This awesome property has a cute little library, complete with mattresses so that you can cosy up with a good read, right there. I know I would, especially with those comfy turquoise cushions for company! Or you can just chill in the bathroom, which is a luxury after the tiny ones we are used to in Mumbai.

Book the single room for around Rs 4,500 a night, with breakfast included. Other facilities are WiFi (of course), laundry, and…wait for it…ayurvedic massages and a spa experience!

Check out the space below and book a room here.
