Catch Kumail Hamid Live With His New Single Tomorrow In Mumbai
In November, we gave you the scoop on 2 things — one that indie star Kumail Hamid will release his new track in February, and two, that he has started playing the drums. And guess what, both of these things have happened and Mumbaikars, you get to witness them live!
Okay, so the release of the EP, From You To Blue, is a month late, but we aren’t complaining. Released yesterday, the track is available on Hamid’s label, Knowmad Records. But the more interesting news is that Kumail will be performing live at antiSOCIAL, Khar, tomorrow, i.e. March 24, a gig that has been organised by KRUNK. It is the official live launch of this single and we are super excited!
Joining him will be Apurv Isaac (Lala) on guitars and Nathan Thomas on bass. Also, for the very first time, he will be showing his newly acquired drumming skills on stage, and we just know it’ll be epic.
Known for his downtempo take on electronica, this one also checks all points on the great music list. If you are into slow, soulful, and subtle vocal tracks, then make sure you listen to it ASAP, and if you are in the city, then buy passes now! The passes will also be available at the venue.
The cover of the EP has been designed by London-based illustrator, Alex Gamsu Jenkins.
