That time of the year when the little town of Nashik comes to life and basically becomes the most happening place in the country is here again — Sula Fest 2017. This year, they are celebrating a decade of their existence so rest assured, it will be one to watch out for! Apart from the quite obvious, loads of wine and great food, Sula Fest is known for a weekend filled with music that will help you forget all your worries. Of course, talking about the trance-inducing Infected Mushroom here.

We know that the biggies — Nucleya, Bloc Party, Indian Ocean, and Raghu Dixit Project are for sure going to create a sensation, but there are few local flavours that will be worth your time too. Check out these 5 artists who are going to be playing at the fest this season, winning hearts and fans, for sure.

1. Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator

One of the most versatile artists on the list, Bhatt’s music will tell you different tales every time you listen to it. A charismatic live performer who knows electronica better than most, he will set the stage on fire, guaranteed. Having performed at the biggest music festival in the world, Glastonbury, you know what he is capable of. His third and latest album will get you grooving in no time!

 

2. Your Chin

The solo project of indie band Sky Rabbit’s member Raxit Tewari, Your Chin is a name that you should be aware of. Right from 2012, when he first release his EP titled with the same name, he became a major hit, both with the audience and music critics. His work is as relatable as imagining 2 people indulging in a heartfelt conversation, over a cup of coffee — even though it can get really trippy. 3. ZOYA

California-born Zoya is a folk singer and dresses her part beautifully. After graduating from the renowned Berkeley College of Music, she has returned to the soil to produce music that resonates with the people of her home country. Her alluring vocals, harmonious tunes, and just the whole soothing package will leave you in awe.

 

4. Bit Of Both

Founding members of Jalebee Cartel (India’s most successful underground music gig) and Soupherb records, Ash Roy and Ashvin Mani Sharma, will be at the fest to demonstrate what experience can do. Having performed around the world and at all the major music events in India, they sure know their music and have the power to make anyone dance to their kickass tunes.

 

5. The Ska Vengers

A mixture of jazz, punk, latin, rock, and everything good, The Ska Vengers produce music based on Indian issues. From producing a video with a message for Modi to performing for the inmates of Tihar jail, they are as local as any band can get. Watch how 5 guys and a girl can take over the stage and have you begging for more of their music.
