This week, was amazing for music lovers and we couldn’t stop at just one release. 5 of our fave artists dropped 5 haute new sounds, and we cannot keep calm! Weekend is sorted, my friend. Trust us, you’ll be adding these numbers to your playlist. A little controversial (which we love, right?), these tunes are catchy and rad. 1. Heavy — Linkin Park
The iconic band released the first single from their upcoming album yesterday on Instagram and Facebook. The album, One More Light, will see the light of the day on May 19, and the release of Heavy is basically a teaser to the whole movie. Chester has been accompanied by upcoming star Kiiara on the vocals in this single, and it’s addictive. Sounds a little mainstream, but it’ll definitely take over your Saturday nights for a while. Not a disappointing sneak-peak and we are definitely waiting for the full album to release. Post that they will be on road performing the shows all over the world, including Asia. See where am I hinting?
2. Love Machine — Dirty Jays
This duo that never fails to impress is back with a groovy track, Love Machine. The upstage beats display some mad drumming skills and Tejas’s vocals creates music that stays with you. This track is a part of a bigger album, People Of The Night, that will be released soon. These Mumbai boys are making their mark and how! Listen to the track here.
3. Some Way — Weeknd
Weeknd released his new song on Wednesday that has beats by rapper NAV. But that’s not all that’s cool about this number, the big deal here are the lyrics that are not-so-subtly taking a dig at pop sensation Justin Bieber. Recently, Bieber declared on Instagram that said he would never listen to Weeknd’s songs, and guess how he replied? By dropping a that talks about him dating Bieber’s ex, Selena Gomez. That is one bold move and the ball is now in the Sorry singer’s court.
4. It Ain’t Me — Selena Gomez & Kygo
While the boyfriend is at loggerheads with the ex, Selena is in her own bubble collaborating with heartthrob DJ Kygo. Okay, not that much of a bubble because It Ain’t Me is very bittersweet and talks about the memories of the past. It starts slow but eventually turns into be a pop track with hints of country music. All in all, your next dance is going to be on this one!
5. How Would You Feel — Ed Sheeran
On his birthday yesterday, Ed Sheeran gave his listeners a gift — a new track from his upcoming album, Divide, that will be out on March 3, comprising around 16 songs. How Would You Feel is the third teaser track after Shape Of You and Castle On The Hills. It is a slow ballad that is almost caressed by the rhythms of the piano and guitar.
