Watch: The Mysterious Trailer Of 50 Shades Darker Has Us Excited!

The much-awaited trailer of the sequel of 50 Shades Of Grey was released yesterday and it has certainly left us thinking. 50 Shades Darker is directed by James Foley, and stars Jamie Dornan (Chrisitian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) from the first movie as leads. It is releasing around Valentine’s Day (perfect?) next year, on Feb 10.

50 Shades Of Grey saw Ana falling in love with the millionaire who wants nothing but a dom-sub relationship. Their story continues as they get to know each other, while secrets come tumbling out. Going by the trailer, it looks like the movie has followed the plot of the book by E.L James, and that is a relief, as the first movie disappointed many fans. Though there were plenty of intimate scenes, the chemistry between Grey and Steele was missing. But this movie might just make up for it. Less sex and more mystery. The trailer shows them moving out of the bedroom this time, and attending masquerade balls, looking all glam. Car chases, Grey’s ex returning, and Anastasia’s pervert of a boss makes an appearance. too. But I still think there will be many a scene with Jamie going shirtless! Plus, Anastasia’s portrayal of a meek woman has been upgraded to someone stronger and more independent: “This time, no rules, no punishments, and no secrets.” All in all, the trailer is kickass with an amazing rendition of Beyonce’s Crazy Love by Miguel.

The book 50 Shades Darker was published in 2012 and went on to become a bestseller, selling more than a million copies.
