Ananya Panday’s Statement About Her Rivals In Bollywood Is Advice We Could All Use

Bollywood sees its fair share of newcomers every year, eager to make their mark in the industry. Naturally, they become victims of never-ending comparisons and tons of competition thanks to the media and the audiences. Debutante Ananya Panday, whose movie Student Of The Year 2 just hit theatres, is one of them.

Though her movie has received mixed reviews, Ananya is quite unfazed and is holding her head up high. She isn’t too bothered about the competition either. Now this is one millennial we should take a cue from.

When asked about her rivals in Bollywood, the 20-year-old actress said, “I feel the more, the  merrier. What’s the point of working if there is no competition? You work hard only when there is competition or else you tend to take things lightly,” she says. Isn’t that true for all of us? Without the competitive colleague or the pushy gym buddy, we’d all land up being pretty laid-back.

Ananya further added, “I think it’s always exciting to have new people [around]. Everyone has a different approach towards how they work and that makes all the difference. Also, there’s work for everyone. There is nothing to think about such things. I need to concentrate on my work.” If you ask us, that’s pretty sound advice coming from a newbie, no?
