Actress Bhagyashree’s Son Shares How His Mother Is Still Remembered As ‘Suman’ From The Movie Maine Pyar Kiya
There are certain movies and in them certain characters that always manage to leave an imprint on our minds. Whether it was Bunny in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Geet in Jab We Met or Arjun in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, chances are, we will always remember these actors more by their characters than their real selves. And while some may not be comfortable with such a lasting impression, we think it can be quite a compliment to their acting prowess. We know it was a good thing when we heard Debutant Abimanyu Dassani share how his mother Bhagyashree still gets remembered as Suman from her hit movie Maine Pyar Kiya.
Recalling his mother’s debut that was a huge hit and how he feels elated to be in the same space his mother had been all those years back during her own acting career, Abhimanyu Dassani, son of actress Bhagyashree opened up while talking about his debut film Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota.
Having given his blood, sweat and efforts into making this a success, Abhimanyu had quite some hope from his first movie Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota that took a long time to be released on the silver screen. Talking about it, he said, “I didn’t allow myself to get impatient. I am glad that the film has found audiences over the months since its release. And all of us, Vasan Sir (director Vasan Bala), my co-star Radhika Madan are doing well.”

Touching base on how much of a contribution his mother has had in shaping his mind up for this stream he shared, “Even today people call her as Suman, the name of the character she played in Maine Pyar Kiya. I feel gratified when people refer to me as Surya, the guy I play in MKDNH. Hopefully, after my next release Nikamma, I will be called out by my character’s name in that film.”
After all, once people start recognising you by your character’s name, you know you’ve left a mark on them that is difficult to erase. Just like Bhagyashree and her acting in the 1989 hit film alongside actor Salman Khan.
