10 Movies To Watch This Weekend While Netflix Is Free

I have an exciting announcement. Netflix India is free for everyone on December 5th and 6th. Basically, this is the perfect weekend to curl up on your couch in front of your screen with bowls and bowls of popcorn and binge-watch movies and shows.

However, I know it’s very difficult to choose what to watch especially when you have limited time. So, to make the choices easier for you we have drafted a list. Watch any of these movies and shows and it’ll be a weekend well spent!

Ludo

Four interwined stories and a mixture of multiple genre’s, Ludo is the ideal show to binge-watch while Netflix is freely avaible. Little Inayat Verma, Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Bachchan and Aditya Roy Kapoor, the casting for Ludo is extremely impressive. A lot of the scenes will leave you in spilts while the others will have you on the edge of your seat. Unlike the game Ludo, watching this movie is a win-win situation.

Bhaag Beanie Bhaag

Swara Bhasker’s latest movie is trending on Netflix and social media right now. It’s funny and has undertones of women empowerment. Besides, if you liked the Emmy-award winning show Marvellous Mrs. Maisel, you will love Bhaag Beanie Bhaag. It might not be as marvellous but it’s got all the right factors.

The Queen’s Gambit

Are you a chess fanatic? If yes, this is the show for you. This Netflix series revolves around a young orphan who excels at the game of chess. Everything about the show, from the plot to the characters just teases ones intrigue. It’s the perfect show to keep you company over the weekend.

Virgin River

A typical rom-com, Virgin River will get you hooked from the very first episode. The show has a very hallmark vibe to it but it’s not nearly as cheesy as a hallmark movie. There are captivating plot-lines and tear-jerker moments. If you’re looking for something to watch while Netflix is free, Virgin River should be on the top of your list.

Holidate

This rom-com, starrting Emma Roberts, is the ideal holiday movie. The plotline follows two single strangers who meet and decide to be each other’s platonic plus-ones all year long, only to catch real feelings along the way. The chemistry between the two main protagonists only added more oomph to the movie.

The Crown (Season 4)

If you have watched the previous seasons of The Crown, then you know why S4 is not something you can skip. It not only gives us a peek into the life of Princess Diana and her horrid marriage to Prince Charles but also touches upon a lot of interesting plotlines. In my opinion, it’s the best season of the show yet.

Delhi Crime

The horrifying Nirbhaya gang-rape is etched in our memories until the end of time. The Delhi Crime shows the horrifying ordeal in a whole new perspective. Not to mention, it just became India’s first show to ever win a Emmy award. If you haven’t already, check it out.

Schitt’s Creek

What can I say about Schitt’s Creek that hasn’t been said already? It’ll get you hooked on in no time. The characters are unique and the plot lines are brilliant. If you still haven’t watched the should, you are really missing out. Besides, I can guarantee that you will fall in love with David Rose.

It’s Okay To Not Be Okay

This show is very special. It shines a light on issues like depression and mental illness and it also has some comic reliefs. Watch it while Netflix is free and you will get so hooked on that you will want to pay to watch it.
