The Minimalist Wedges On Zahra’s #HauteList This Week
Lately, I’ve really been digging androgynous styles. There’s just something so interesting about the borrowed-from-the-boys look — it’s not quite feminine, not entirely masculine, yet artfully balances that in-between vibe. So my new season wardrobe is slowly starting to fill up with pieces that work an androgynous look in small doses. (What can I say, it takes me a while to fully commit to anything!)
So while I’m stocking up on bomber jackets and sneakers (yes, I have a sneaker problem) right now, I’m also looking out for interesting shoe styles that give some height and add a slight semi-formal touch. Which brings me to these super minimalist shoes that are at the top of my wishlist right now.
These Zara Blucher Wedges are exactly what I’ve been looking for to take me from work to party mode, especially on weekdays. The festive season is upon us now, which means endless work events, parties, and what have you. I needed a pair of shoes that weren’t flat sneakers nor velvet block heels, but something that would work on both a pair of distressed denims or a chic midi dress. And I think I’ve met my match in these wedges.
The neutral taupe hue is the perfect pastel tone and works with just about everything, while the side buckled detail adds visual interest. The contrast wedge heels add the perfect bit of height, giving the shoes a polished, feminine twist to the otherwise straight-laced men’s style. It’s so perfect that I might just live in them from work-to-weekend too!
