Did You See What Priyanka Chopra Wore To The Oscars 2017?
Finally, the most-awaited award show of the year, The 89th Academy Awards, finally took place last night (well, early this morning for us). While most of the night saw your average Oscar Award recipients, red-carpet swivels, and teary-eyed speeches, the event did end with a confusing bang, if you haven’t already heard.
Mixing winner Moonlight with fellow nominee La La Land might have been hilarious to the viewers, but was probably heartbreaking to the loser. Well, keeping that aside, the red-carpet did see its usual share of classy and bold gowns, and perfectly poised celebrities.
Starting with our very own, Priyanka Chopra wore a rather futuristic Ralph Russo gown with slicked back hair, which gave her an edgy look, as compared to the usual shimmer and shine (maybe it’s our partiality that’s talking, but can ya blame us?).
Brie Larson, Kirsten Dunst, and Taraji P Henson stuck to the classic black, and boy, did they pull off a rather safe colour with so much sass! Talking about sass, Halle Berry brought out her amazing fro and paired it with a gorgeous one-shoulder two-toned gown. Keeping shimmer and shine in mind, Charlize Theron, Emma Roberts, and Emma Stone kept up with the trend, giving it a bold touch of their own personality.
Wearing a dress for a good cause was Olivia Culpo in a Marchesa gown — in partnership with Stella Artois and Water.org, the dress was made out of chalice pieces by Stella Artois. For one whole chalice sold, 5 years of clean drinking water will be provided to developing countries. Interesting right?
